Reiki Master and Health Coach

Hi - I'm Kate

I’m a Reiki Practitioner and Burnout Coach. I’m here to help women find relaxation and to ease stress and anxiety.

Since I was 17,

I had struggled with burnout. Feeling constant stress and with an inability to have ANY work-life balance at all. My only focus was my next promotion. I felt that work was my only passion. Yet, I was never truly happy at work in my 8 years of events and marketing.

So what changed?

I came across Reiki as a tool for stress-relief and relaxation. I quickly found a relationship with my intuition, became aware of my stressors, and discovered a new perspective and meaning. Over time I put in place steps to manage stress long term, and not let stress run my life.

Now, I help other women do the same

It’s what I thrive at. After living through burnout and limiting beliefs myself, I create a nurturing space for every woman I meet. People come to me when are ready to make lasting change and are willing to put the work in to stop letting stress get out of control.

After 2 years of honing my skills, I now specialise in a unique approach to help tired out and stressed women feel empowered to find out what balance means to them, and challenge the ideals pushed upon them that ignite a cycle of burnout.

My Approach

Sessions are led by your unique needs in that moment.

Every time you show up, you will be whole heartedly accepted as you are, free from judgement and the pressures of the external world.

  • I work with other healing tools intuitively. I work strongly with my intuition, which means sometimes other tools are called upon during the session with your permission, such as crystals, herbs, card readings, guided meditation and affirmation practice.

  • We set intentions and goals together. Setting an intention for the session can be a very powerful tool which can increase your results from both Reiki and Coaching.

The aim of this approach is for you to leave feeling deeply relaxed, clear from outside stressors and ready to tackle life in your own inspired and authentic way with actionable strategies to refer back to.

I currently offer the following services:

- My signature 3 month Beat Burnout Programme

- Reiki at a distance or in-person

My approach is probably a bit different to what you’ve experienced before in holistic therapy.

Treatment Room for Reiki Healing
  • What exactly is Reiki?
A: Reiki is a holistic healing practice that originated in Japan. It's based on the concept that a "life force energy" flows through us. Reiki practitioners can help balance this energy by channelling light energy through your body, mind and soul. Reiki energy has the capacity to remove stress blocks, whether it is physical, emotional, mental or spiritual and allows your body to enter complete relaxation. The Practitioner does this by channelling the energy through their hands which they then either hover above or place on your body, usually focussing on the main chakras or 'energy points' through the body. This is a non-invasive and gentle healing technique. When our life force energy is balanced, our body is more capable of healing itself, having a stronger immune-system and managing stress.
  • What's the difference between distance Reiki and in-person Reiki?
A: Great question! The key difference between the two is how the session is conducted. In-person Reiki involves a practitioner placing their hands lightly on or just above your body to facilitate the flow of energy. On the other hand, Distance Reiki uses the principles of 'quantum entanglement' or how I like to describe as tuning into your individual frequency to send healing energy across space and time. This way you can receive Reiki from the comfort of your own home, no matter where you are in the world and experience the same powerful benefits just as you would if we were in-person. Both methods aim to balance your energy and promote relaxation and wellbeing. The best choice depends on your personal preference, availability and circumstances.
  • Will I feel anything during a Reiki session?
A: Everyone's experience with Reiki is unique. Some people feel warmth, tingling, pulsing, or a sense of relaxation. Some may even have visualisations, breakthrough thoughts or emotional feelings. Others might not feel anything at all during the session but notice a sense of calm or wellbeing afterward. There's no right or wrong – just your own personal experience!
  • Do I need to do anything to prepare for a Reiki session?
A: Not really! Just wear comfortable layered clothing (some people get hot or cold when working with energy) and come with an open mind. You might want to reflect on any areas of your life or body you'd like to focus on, but this isn't necessary. The most important thing is to relax and be open to the experience. I also ask you not to drink alcohol for atleast 24 hours prior to treatment. This is important as your body will be in the best position to receive healing.
  • Can Reiki cure diseases or conditions?
A: Reiki is a complementary therapy, which means it's used alongside traditional treatments rather than as a replacement. While Reiki isn't a cure for diseases or conditions, it can help you manage symptoms and improve overall wellbeing by promoting relaxation and stress reduction.
  • How often should I receive Reiki?
A: This really depends on your personal needs. Some of my clients enjoy weekly sessions, while others might come once a month or just whenever they feel the need. As you get to know your body and energy levels better, you'll be able to decide what works best for you! It is said, to receive the optimum benefits of Reiki, an individual should have 4 sessions on average - however I always suggest to really listen to your body and intuition, and assess what feels right to you.
  • Have another question?
If you still have questions, or want to discuss Reiki and how it could possibly benefit you please reach out to me. I'm always happy to answer any questions you have.
